Today it was great to read a post from someone who also throws shade on the notion of "work/life" balance. Amen, Craig Richards from Australia's Bicycle Network.
We all have but one life with the same amount of time allotted to us. We choose to use that time to pursue interests, activities, tasks and objectives. Some of these earn us an income which in turn fuels our pursuit of activities that do not earn an income.
Whether we label income generating activities as "work" or not is purely semantic. There is no doubt being in a job that you do not like feels more like work than other pursuits.
All our pursuits require, at the least, discipline and tenacity to be successful.
We can enjoy "hard work" a lot if we are pursuing something we are excited about.
